The New 2023 Ford Ranger

As promised, Ford has completely reinvented the 2023 Ford Ranger into one of the most customizable, modern pick-ups available. With 310 lb-ft. of torque and the ability to haul up to 7,500 pounds, the 2023 Ranger is not shy about power either.

2023 Ford Ranger Interior

The 2023 Ford Ranger tells two stories: one of pure comfort, modern tech, and amenities in its interior and another of brute power, control, and a tough powertrain on the exterior.
 
Drivers have the option to configure the cabin with seating for four or five people. For seating fabric, options range from cloth to Miko Suede Trimmed to Leather, and more. At every level the interior feels very slick, modern, and comfortable. That’s evident from Ford’s latest infotainment center and a digital instrument cluster. 
 
The cabin has plenty of storage in the flow-through center console and overhead console in certain trim levels. The design of the 2023 Ford Ranger recognizes the need to be very functional while also providing all the comforts, tech, and features expected of a top-of-the-line pickup truck.

2023 Ford Ranger Colors

Along with fantastic customization options to the powertrain and technology of the 2023 Ford Ranger, drivers can make it their own with a wide range of colorways. There are nine different colors available to choose for the exterior.
 
Ford also gives drivers the option to choose the color of exterior details with available options and packages. That includes adding chrome detailing to the bumper, handles, and tailgate with the Chrome Appearance Package. Alternatively, drivers can choose a more incognito look with the Black Appearance Package. Add more adventurous colors and details by opting for the Splash Package, available on the XLT and LARIAT.

2023 Ford Ranger Specs 

The 2023 Ford Ranger has three primary trim levels: the XL, XLT, and LARIAT. Each has an abundance of modern features and upgrades from past models included, offering drivers a balance of amenities and comfort in the cabin with powerful juice under the hood.
 
All models are powered by Ford’s 2.3L EcoBoost Engine with Auto Start-Stop Technology that puts out 270 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft. of torque. From there, drivers can opt for 2WD or 4WD and either the SuperCrew 5’ Box or SuperCab 6’ Box. The 5’ Box provides added space in the cabin with seating for five, whereas the 6’ Box prioritizes added haul capacity in the truck bed and room for four in the cabin.  

2023 Ford Ranger XL

The 2023 Ford Ranger XL is the meaty foundation for all trim levels. It offers all the power, torque, and towing capacity of the other trims. Speaking of towing, the Ranger XL comes with Trailer Sway Control, which monitors the trailer for sway. If it’s detected it can automatically reduce speed to keep it steady.
 
Standout Features

• Digital Instrument Cluster: The driver’s instrument cluster is completely digital in the 2023 Ford Ranger, with a 2.3” Productivity Screen that gives you access to vehicle information and dashboard controls.
• Pre-Collision Assist: The Ranger XL has Ford’s Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking included. Drivers can receive an alert when the sensors detect a potential collision and can apply the brakes if there’s no response from the driver.
• 10-speed SelectShift Transmission: The Ranger’s automatic transmission system has wide-span gear spacing that delivers a smooth ride with advanced drag reduction, especially when towing. It also features three overdrive gears for when you need that extra push.

2023 Ford Ranger XLT

At the 2023 Ranger XLT trim level, Ford includes its best infotainment system and upgrades the digital instrument cluster. The XLT also opens up a range of several appearance and performance packages that can be added on. Drivers also benefit from Ford's driver assist and safety technology features.
 
Standout Features

• Ford Co-Pilot360™ Technology: This trim level include most of Ford’s driver safety technology systems, including alerts for vehicles in blind spots (even when towing) and a lane-keeping system.
• Dual-Zone Electronic Automatic Climate Control: The XLT’s climate control system allows the driver and passenger to set different temperatures according to their preferences.
• Upgraded Infotainment: The Ranger XLT upgrades the center stack to a 8" LCD Capacitive Touchscreen and also places a 4.2” Color Productivity Screen in the driver instrument cluster.

The 2023 Ford Ranger LARIAT gives drivers options when it comes to creating the ultimate off road or adventure version of the pickup truck. Drivers can opt to add undercarriage protection and upgrade the suspension for rough terrains.

• Intelligent Access: Hitting the road is extra fast in the Ford Ranger LARIAT, with an Intelligent Access key that doesn’t need to leave your pocket to unlock the doors. Just enter the vehicle, strap-up, and press the start button to be on your way.
•  Rear Parking Sensor: This feature is a safety sensor that alerts drivers to obstacles that may be out of view when backing up.
• Extensive Package Options: The LARIAT trim offers the most package and customization options. That includes appearance packages unique to LARIAT models as well as special edition packages like the Splash Jungle Edition.
